What “CRV” means and what’s eligible.

Refund amounts

  • for most eligible containers under 24 oz
  • 10¢ for most eligible containers 24 oz or larger
  • 25¢ for eligible wine/spirits in boxes, bladders, or pouches (effective Jan 1, 2024)

Not all containers are eligible. We redeem eligible California CRV beverage containers. If you are unsure, bring the item in and we’ll help verify it.

Do you accept cardboard, scrap metal, or e-waste?

No. We do not accept cardboard, scrap metal, electronics, e-waste, household trash, or general junk through this CRV site.

What materials do you usually accept?

Common accepted materials include aluminum cans, PET plastic, HDPE plastic, glass beverage containers, bi-metal, and some other eligible CRV plastics and cartons.

Do you accept glass bottles?

Yes, we accept eligible CRV glass beverage containers. We do not accept mirrors, ceramics, or window glass.

How can I get the fastest payout?

What ID do I need for large payouts?

For refunds over $100, California rules may require a valid photo ID and transaction recordkeeping. If you think your payout may be large, bring your ID with you.

Do you close for holidays?

Sometimes. Holiday or special closure updates can happen, so if you are making a longer drive, call or message first to confirm.

What if I have a very large load?

Call ahead and we’ll tell you the best time to come for the smoothest drop-off. Large loads are easier when they are sorted by material first.
